“There are more than one million 943 thousand in total, that no one is left without the happiness of having a book in their hands, of being able to approach knowledge through one of the most transcendental inventions of all humanity, which was precisely books” , commented.

“They are contemporary works, recent publications that can be found in bookstores and that will now be in public school libraries, Normalist libraries and mainly in the states with the lowest level of reading. These books will reach children and adolescents in the country, as well as teachers and parents who, regardless of their origin and social status, will be able to approach books,” he added.

He explained that in a first stage, since it is expected that the collection will increase each year, the topics that were considered are promotion of reading, promotion of science, socio-emotional topic, and technology, and the collection was subdivided by the plan of republican austerity.
