Rector Jorge Olvera García said that process of the election of rector for the 2017-2021 term administration of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM) is open to the entire university community, as long as the candidates fulfill the requirements established by the institutional legislation.

Olvera García made this announcement during the 10th anniversary celebration for Uni Radio, the UAEM station, and on the eve of the Copa Corona MX match in which the UAEM FC Colts will face Necaxa.

Facing the approaching transition process, Olvera García called on students, teachers and administrative workers to unite and collaborate and to conduct themselves with respect. The rector stated that “by resecting differences, it is possible to find similarities and practice tolerance to achieve unity.”
