With the goal of increasing opportunities for small- and medium-sized enterprises, entrepreneurs and business owners in the south of the State of Mexico, the business incubator at the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico’s (UAEM) Tenancingo campus held the Fifth Business Panel in Villa Guerrero. It was the first of four that are planned to be held this year in municipalities like Coatepec Harinas, Ixtapan de la Sal, Tenango and Tenancingo.
More than 20 entrepreneurs and business owners participated in the event, which was organized by the UAEM’s Tenancingo campus and the Villa Guerrero city hall. The event allowed for business owners to get to know products from other producers.
The coordinator of the business incubator, Nadia Oyuki Garduño López, said that the objective of the event was for UAEM business owners to familiarize themselves with the services offered by other producers and to strengthen alliances.
The director of Villa Guerrero Economic Development Director Ivette Méndez Rogel, accompanied by councilors Héctor Guadarrama and Arturo Rodríguez, hopes that the event will create links between businesses, collaborative projects and important alliances.
The business panel brought together producers, service providers and business owners, including manufacturers of cleaning products, soaps, solar panels, chocolate and “obispo,” a traditional sausage from Tenancingo.
During the event, entrepreneurs gave short presentations introducing the products and services provided to a group of other participants. Presenters then rotated to speak with a different group of people and were encouraged to exchange information.
