The plan will take into account the over 1,000 proposals submitted online by members of UAEM'S community

The Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM) announced its 2017-2021 Institutional Development Plan at the Leopoldo Flores University Museum. The announcement was made by the school’s rector Alfredo Barrera Baca during a ceremony within the museum’s halls.

The document, which has yet to be written, will define the course of the institution for the next four years, aiming at its modernization and positioning at an international level, said Barrera Baca. The 1,168 presentations and the 1,503 proposals submitted online by members of UAEM’s community will be taken into account when writing it, he added.

The plan will be built on the efforts of UAEM’s whole community, stated Barrera Baca at the ceremony, and the actions that spring from it shall be constantly evaluated.

Strategies, policies, goals and landmarks will be drawn up throughout August. The plan itself shall be ready by September.
