State of Mexico to Provide Scholarships for Journalists

Eruviel Ávila Villegas noted the good work that journalists do in the state, keeping the public aware of social issues and holding the government accountable

The governor of the State of Mexico, Eruviel Ávila Villegas, announced that in the coming days a call will be issued for journalists and their children to have access educational grants.

During the delivery of three million vouchers of school supplies for the 2017-2018 year, Ávila Villegas acknowledged the work of the journalists in the state.

He added that their work is important to keep the public informed about social issues, as well as helping to improve and correct the work done by the government.

At the event, Ávila Villegas highlighted that for this year, vouchers for school supplies amounted to 459 million pesos ($25.2 million).
