Sedena Investigates Military Crime Allegations

The investigations come after a video was leaked on social media

The General Prosecution for Military Justice will open investigations into military crimes, after the release of a video in which a military personnel is caught shooting a subdued civilizan in the head, which happened in Palmarito, Puebla announced the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena).

They warned that the facts needed to be clarified by the Public Prosecutor’s Office to determine if the video corresponds to the place and event referenced, as well as whether the video is authentic or edited, in which case the corresponding responsibilities will be disclosed.

Sedena assured that they would collaborate with the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) with the conviction that, under no circumstances, would behaviors that went against the Law of Human Rights will be justified. Sedena said that if the accusations are true, the accused will be punished.
