PGR: Rewards for Info on Journalists' Killers

Information is required regarding the murders of six journalists

In the Official Gazette, the  Attorney General’s Office (PGR) published offerings for up to 1.5 million pesos ($83,060) for anyone who comes forward with information that can help locate those responsible for the murders of six journalists.

The information required pertains to the murders of journalists Cecilio Pineda Birto, Ignacio Miranda Muñoz, Jorge Arturo Valdez Cárdenas, Maximino Rodríguez Palacios, Miroslava Breach Velducea and Sonia Córdova Oceguera.

The PGR specified that rewards will correspond to the veracity, usefulness and efficiency of the information.

If various people provide the same information, the money will be awarded to the first person to provide the information and if the information is collected from various individuals, each person would get an amount that is proportional to the quality of  the information that they provided.
