The president suggested the market will soon be rebuilt

President Enrique Peña Nieto said that the State of Mexico is in mourning for the death of the 35 people killed in an explosion at a pyrotechnics market in San Pablito, Tultepec.

After visiting injured victims at the High Speciality Hospital in Zumpango and leading the ceremony for the 201st anniversary of the death of José María Morelos and Pavón, he suggested that the pyrotechnics vendors will be supported in rebuilding the market.

State of Mexico Gov. Eruviel Ávila recognized the president’s support in attending the emergency. “In the first minutes after the accident happened, the president requested to speak with me to express his condolences and relay instructions of giving all the support needed to the victims of this accident,” he said.

At the end of the speech, Peña Nieto presented flowers and performed a moment of silence.

Peña Nieto also signed the guest book. This will be his last public activity before the end of the year.
