President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and his wife, Dr. Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller, wished that 2022 would be a better year, “I have great faith in the future and I wish all Mexicans, everyone, everyone from my heart and sincerely good luck to us”.
He hoped that next year “there will be no suffering, that there will be a lot of joy, a lot of happiness and not forgetting that only by being good can we be happy.”
“In 2022 we wish everyone health and happiness. Let’s keep unshakable faith in the future,” he wrote in a message that he uploaded to his social networks.
In a video of 5 minutes and 12 seconds, the president recalled that a year ago he planted in the Garden of the Empress of the National Palace, an ahuehuete that was given to him by the members of the People’s Front in Defense of the Land in San Salvador Atenco, state from Mexico.
“We planted it if you remember, at Christmas, to remember those who came before us, those who lost their lives due to the pandemic, very difficult times. This year has gone better for us and next year I am sure it will be better”, he said.

La doctora Beatriz Gutiérrez dijo que las hojas del ahuehuete representan la esperanza.
“Yo creo firmemente en la esperanza, soy una convencida de que es el aliento de que nos permite seguir, los convido a no perderla y si no la tienen a buscarla, es gratis, nace dentro”, afirmó.
El titular del Ejecutivo Federal deseó que se celebre este Año Nuevo acompañado de la familia en el sentido más amplio, no sólo de la tradicional,
“Aunque yo la verdad voy a presumir, tengo una familia muy grande porque quiero mucho, mucho, mucho, a bastante gente y me siento querido también, soy correspondido. Soy afortunado”, aseveró.
Pidió dejar a un lado odios, rencores y las malas acciones.
“Hay que pensar que sólo siendo buenos podemos ser felices y la felicidad como siempre lo digo no es lo material, o no sólo es el dinero, la fama, los títulos, la felicidad es estar bien con uno mismo, estar bien con nuestra conciencia, eso es nuestro tribunal”, indicó.
Cerró su mensaje con la expresión: “Nos va a ir muy bien, que ¡viva la felicidad! y que ¡viva la fe en el porvenir!”.
