Mexican actress Kate del Castillo obtained an amparo (A Mexican constitutional legal process that protects the citizen and their basic rights) which will allow her to enter Mexico without having to appear before the authorities regarding her meeting with drug lord Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán Loera, leader of the Pacific Cartel. The Attorney General's Office (PGR) confirmed that a Mexico City federal court granted Del Castillo an amparo as a temporary protection against a warrant issued against her.In February 2015, the PGR issued a search warrant for the actress.
