Cuernavaca, Morelos – Brigades of workers from the Morelos government delivered supplies to the families in the area of Tlalnepantla, who were affected by the Sept. 19 earthquake.

In the area, at least 340 houses were affected by the earthquake, which displaced part of the support offered by the Morelos Family Development Agency (DIF).

The “brigadistas” went house to house to deliver food, aid, bedding and cots to the victims, many of whom have decided to stay in the house of their relatives in the area since the majority of the people make their living from farm work, mainly in cactus cultivation.

“Support now arriving in the highlands of #Morelos,” wrote the government of Morelos on their Twitter account, @GobiernoMorelos.

Tlalnepantla inhabitants asked state and national governments for continued support to begin the process of reconstruction in the area.
