The National Coordinator of Education Workers (CNTE) blocked stretches of highway in Oaxaca and Chiapas, as part of the intensification of their protests against the education reforms. In Chiapas, the CNTE blocked four entrances towards Tuxtla Gutiérrez. The Federal Police reinforced its presence in Oaxaca with 4,000 officers, which appears to have guaranteed free transit.
