Mexico City banks sold the dollar for 18.50 pesos at market close Thursday, 20 centavos less than on Wednesday. Dollars were purchased for 17.68 pesos.
The euro was sold at 20.54 pesos, 29 centavos less than the day before. The pound and yen were sold at 23.90 and 0.195 pesos, respectively.
The official exchange rate, set by Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico), is 18.2678 pesos per dollar.
