The dollar rose 63 centavos to close at a selling price of 20.96 pesos Thursday in Mexico City currency exchanges. Banks purchased the dollar for a minimum of 19.76 pesos.
The euro rose 60 centavos to close at 22.79 pesos, while the pound and yen closed at 26.23 pesos and 0.225 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 20.4812 pesos per dollar.
