The accident of the passenger bus from the line “Omnibus Cristobal Colón” resulted in one death and 37 wounded

A passenger bus from the line “Omnibus Cristobal Colón” with the license plate 567 JV-6 and the economic number 2213, fell into a ravine of over 30 meters on kilometer 40 of the Mexico-Puebla highway.

Reports indicate that the driver lost control of the unit and broke past the retaining wall. The accident has left one unidentified man of 60 dead and 37 wounded.

Paramedics from Mexico City, Ixtapaluca, Chalco, Texcoco, Amecameca and Ecatepec as well as Federal Roads and Bridges arrived at the site to help the wounded and transport them to nearby hospitals.

 The bus came from Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, with Mexico City as its final destination.

 The reasons for the accident that led the bus off the road are yet to be determined by experts.
