A year since the start of the “New Traffic Regulations” Mexico City, the number of accidents has reduced by 16 percent, said the Mexico City Secretary of Public Security, Hiram Almeida Estrada.

Thanks to the changes, the number of injuries due to road accidents is down by 3.4 percent, a fall of 125 injuries from last year.

In addition to this, 147,867 complaints on traffic infractions have been dealt with.

Almeida Estrada recognized the motorists who have complied with the regulations.
