French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault called for an urgent meeting of the working group created to discuss a truce in Syria regarding an alleged violation of the ceasefire decreed in the Arab country.

According to French diplomatic sources, the ceasefire declared in Syria could have been violated in the last hours.

“We have received reports that say air attacks continue against the moderate opposition-controlled areas,” said Ayrault.

The truce, which does not include attacks on positions belonging to the Islamic State Group (IS) began on Friday night. The international working group is tasked with monitoring the implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
