BEST MATCH: América vs. Monterrey
A look to the playoffs? América and Monterrey gave us the best match of the tournament, bolazos, intensity and somersaults in a 3-3 that did not disappoint anyone, much less the two teams already that had already secured their place in the playoffs.
BEST TEAM: Morelia
Las Monarcas went from a cold sweat over the issue of descending to clinching their ticket to la Liguilla after beating Santos Laguna 3-2. Little by little, and without to much pressure, the team from Michoacán achieved what nobody expected based on executing balanced football.
BEST PLAYER: Rubens Sambueza, América.
In a match where everyone shone, Sambueza did with his own light. Good passes and retaking the level that many had begun to wonder about, ‘Sambu’ offered a professorship of good football that is expected to be seen in la Liguilla.
BEST GOAL: Osvaldo Martínez, América
Osvaldo had a lot of luck, yes, at the time of rebounds worked well for América. But as one of the ricocheted ball falling directly in front, Martínez hit a superb volley to break the ‘striped network,’ thus making the best goal of the day.
BEST GOALKEEPER: Jesus Corona, Cruz Azul.
While Toluca arrived with its head down after receiving a beating in the Copa Libertadores, J.J. had a tremendous performance at the goal line to keep la Máquina alive in their quest for the last playoffs spot.
BEST REFEREE: Luis E. Santander
Definitely a good meeting between brothers, he had no complications in the game but still has problems qualifying placement and wing faults, and hopefully in the playoffs he does better on his placement and personality.
