Giovani Might Head to América

After losing two clásicos, having been eliminated from the Copa MX, accused of plagiarism and making a new soccer shirt that no one likes, Américanistas could finally be set to receive good news.

Giovani do Santos, Player of the Year for the Los Angeles Galaxy, is being courted by América as they look to strengthen their team ahead of the Club World Cup (MLS).

There is one problem, however. The MLS ends of December 10, just days before América are scheduled to play the winners of the Asian Football Confederation, played between Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors of Korea, and Al Ain FC from the United Arab Emirates. Ámerica, therefore, are hoping for the Galaxy to be eliminated early.

Gio has already stated that he wants to play for América, which will give supporters hope during their teams’ floundering centenary.

América are also interested in Jesús Molina, currently playing for Santos Laguna, who is seen as an ideal replacement for Javier Güémez. Molina is one of the league’s best in his position and has previously played for América.

Notably, Jesús Molina was an integral part of the last two titles won by América, against Cruz Azul and Tigres.
