Walmart is considering temporarily closing stores in Oaxaca and Chiapas after 70 of its trailers were unable to reach their destinations due to roadblocks by the National Coordinator of Education Workers (CNTE) in the southern states.
Walmart spokesman Antonio Ocaranza said that Walmart stores in Oaxaca are suffering severe shortages due to the roadblocks.
Walmart has 37 locations in Oaxaca and 51 in Chiapas.
