UAEM hosts Political Science and Public Administration Congress

The Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM) hosted the 24th National Association of Political Science and Public Administration Students National Congress (ANECPAP), which included students from the Amecameca UEAM campus and members of the local Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz committee.

The event, which was held at the “Casa de las Diligencias” (House of the Diligences) University Cultural Center, aimed to encourage the exchange of ideas between representatives of the most influential political parties in Mexico and to encourage criticism from young students. The event was focused on the challenges and perspectives of the political parties in Mexico, as we head toward the 2018 election.

The congress was attended by academic personalities and representatives from civil organizations, whose participation was intended to illustrate the political perspectives of those involved in public and political institutions.

Among the participants in this congress was Professor John M. Ackerman of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and Professor Ackerman, who presented his book “The Myth of Democratic Transition.”

During the three days of activities, which were attended by students and academics from different universities institutions belonging to the ANECPAP, representatives from main political parties spoke.
