Tlaxcala Delivers Functional Aid to the Disabled

A group of 42 people with disabilities from 13 municipalities in Tlaxcala received wheelchairs, prostheses, splints and canes as part of the first delivery of functional aide from the state government to people with disabilities.

The devices were delivered by the Public Charity Board Administration and the State Family Development Agency (DIF) and will improve the living conditions of the vulnerable population.

The director of the Public Charity Board Administration in Tlaxcala, Pía Murrieta Saukko, said that on this occasion they delivered 42 functional aids including orthopedic shoes, wheelchairs, walkers, external prostheses and oxygen tanks to an equal number of people of 13 municipalities of the state.

“With the support of the federal government, through the Health Secretariat and National Public Welfare, it is possible to grant this support to people with disabilities and contribute to raising their quality of their lives,” said the Tlaxcala DIF director, Madai Chapel Stones.

In due course, the director general of the Administration of National Public Welfare, María del Socorro García Quiroz, recognized the commitment of the state government with those who need it most.
