Social Development Secretary José Antonio Meade Kuribeña said that Liconsa and Diconsa, two government-owned companies that provide free or subsidized food and milk to people in need, are not facing supply problems due to the roadblocks maintained by the National Coordinator of Education Workers (CNTE).
In a tour through Chiapas, Meade Kuribeña stressed that government social welfare systems have not been affected by the mobilizations against the education reform and continue to operate normally.
“We are happy that these two fundamental programs, Liconsa and Diconsa, are operating normally,” he said. “We are sure that the two programs will continue to work successfully for the people of Chiapas.”
