Arianna Becerril García, the director of the Information Systems and Technologies of the Latin America, Caribbean, Spain and Portugal Scientific Journal Network (Redalyc) at the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM), has received recognition for her professional career and leadership, from the International Association of Researchers.
The recognition was given during her participation on a university panel during a discussion titled “Focusing on Gender in Research and Innovation Trends,” during the Third Congress of the Iberoamérica Researchers, held at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL). The congress brought together many students, academics and researchers who were interested in further analyzing the role women have in academic research.
During this congress, participants discussed how to increase the number of women working in scientific study and generalized problems that women face as researchers. Also up for debate was the role of research networks in promoting gender equality in scientific, technologist and cultural spheres.
The International Association of Researchers seeks to strengthen the visibility of research and findings in all areas of knowledge and to organize seminars, congresses and meetings where their work can be spread.
