The Health Secretariat (SSA) and the Social Development Secretariat (Sedesol) work in coordination to inform beneficiaries of social programs on the preventive and protective measures they can take against atypical outbreaks of influenza and other diseases, said Secretary José Antonio Meade Kuribreña.

So we did it and we talked in the case of Zika, and so we must also do so in the case of influenza.”

“The recommendations are the same. The recommendations given to us by the Health Secretariat, in terms of hygiene, in terms of guarded greetings, in terms of covering sneezes, are the same that have always been used. This, combined with the recommendation of receiving a vaccine,” Meade Kuribreña said in an interview.

He also reiterated that the public health system has a sufficient supply of the drugs used against influenza.

Meade Kuribreña began a working tour Friday of the state of Baja California, where he will sign an agreement with Governor Carlos Mendoza about eradicating poverty in the state.
