College Entrepreneurs Contest Announces Winners

Projects were displayed by students and professors at bachelor’s and graduate levels

TOLUCA – Students and professors from the Urban and Regional Planing Department, the Engineering Department, and the Tourism and Gastronomy Department at the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM), as well as from Dr. Ángel María Garibay K., Nezahualcóyotl and Ignacio Ramírez Calzada high schools, and UAEM’s Cuautitlán Izcalli Professional Academic Unit, are the winners of the 15th College Entrepreneurs Contest.

The contest saw 630 projects by students and professors of bachelor’s and graduate levels. Alfredo Barrera Baca, rector of UAEM, led the awards ceremony and said that the College Entrepreneurs Contest had solidified itself as a platform for the youth’s creativity.

The winning teams at bachelor’s level are the following: Dr. Ángel María Garibay K. High School, in the green and innovative project categories; Nezahualcóyotl High School, in the social project category; and Ignacio Ramírez Calzada High School, in the traditional project category. At graduate level, the winners are: the Urban and Regional Planning Department, in the green project category; UAEM’s Cuautitlán Izcalli Professional Academic Unit, in the social project category; the Engineering Department, in the innovative project category; and the Tourism and Gastronomy Department, in the traditional project category.
