Collaboration Agreements Signed by Olvera García Bear Fruits

Work has begun on the construction of a new parking lot for the Large and Small Species Veterinaries, as well as the Center for Nutritional Care at the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico’s (UAEM) Amecameca campus, as the General Collaboration Agreement signed by UAEM’s rector, Jorge Olvera García, begins to bear fruit.

The work is being supported with construction materials by the municipal administration and will allow the university to provide better services to both students and local residents.

The municipality of Amecameca will donate 30 tons of cement and Juchitepec will donante seven tons. Temamtla will donate gravel and sand, while Tlalmanalco will add an additional 10 tons of cement. The local deputy of the 28th district, Ivette Topete García, will also offer 17 tons of cement.

The director of the Center for Nutritional Care, Ranulfo Pérez Garcés, thanked the support of the mayors and local deputy, while emphasizing that the project is fundamental to strengthen the services provided to society by the university.

He said that the Large Species Veterinary hospital is the second largest in the state, and serves patients from Puebla, Veracruz and Mexico City. The Center for Nutritional Care served over 1,200 users in the last year.

Pérez Garcés said that the support was achieved thanks to the ties that Olvera García established with surrounding municipalities, which have gradually strengthened over time.
