CNTE to Lift Blockades

The members of Section 7 of the National Coordinator of Education Workers (CNTE) announced they will end blockades in eight locations in Chiapas tomorrow to focus on the union’s main occupation in the Chiapas capital Tuxtla Gutiérrez.

Ongoing activities, “As part of the re-organization and strengthening of forces,” will include, “holding rallies and press conferences,” the union announced in Chiapas.

Another resolution in the state assembly of the teachers union is to “give complete support to the document developed by the CNTE and presented to the Interior Secretary.”

Lastly, they announced there will be a mega-march of teachers and other sectors on Monday, July 11th at 4 p.m. to the central plaza of Tuxtla.
