Attorney General Meets with Forensics Analyzing Migrant Murders

MEXICO CITY – Attorney General Arely Gómez González met with members of the Forensic Commission in charge of the case the migrants whose bodies were found between 2010 and 2012 in San Fernando, Tamaulipas, and Cadereyta, Nuevo León.

During the meeting, conducted in the central offices of the State Attorney General’s Office (PGR), information was given on operation, current results and and future proceedings.

The commission, with the participation of agency and independent experts, was established to identify remains and determine the causes of death related to these homicides.

In this context, the head of the PGR reiterated the institution’s unrestricted commitment to the promotion and respect of human rights, which serves a guiding rule for the activities and goals of the commission.
