Amnesty International announced Monday that incidents of torture and arbitrary detentions increased by over 600 percent in Mexico between 2010 and 2013.
During the presentation, “Surviving death; Torture of women by police and armed forces in Mexico,” regional investigator for Amnesty International Madeleine Penman, said that the statistics on torture in Mexico are chilling and unbelievable.
