In an interview, borough president María Antonieta Hidalgo Torres said that the plan will be ready next week. The plan will also involve reducing the use of official vehicles.

She clarified that since two weeks ago, borough officials try to carpool to improve air quality.

Torres Hidalgo said that she will respect the circulation restrictions and will look for ways to reduce the use of government vehicles.

On Friday, Mexico City Mayor Miguel Ángel Mancera said that he would reduce the number of speed bums on major roads by an average of 10 to 15 in order to improve air quality.
