To get more students and professors to conduct academic exchange and obtain financing for research projects, the Faculty of Chemistry of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico strengthens its institutional relationship with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD, for its acronym in German).

UAEM’s Research Director, Luis Enríquez Díaz Sánchez, explained that one of the the benefits of this relationship is that, upon their return, the participants in the exchange programs invite German academics to teach courses or participate in different activities of teaching and researching.

In this world with greater interconnection and facilities for communication, he said, the students have more opportunities to contact researchers from the nations where the UAEM has established an institutional relationship through agreements.

For his part, the researcher from the Faculty of Chemistry of the UAEM, Víctor Varela Guerrero, indicated that college students who meet a high average, be regular and know a second language have more opportunities to get a scholarship or financing.

Some of the topics that university students can develop within the framework of these links cooperation are: sustainability in the automotive industry, design of electric cars or with operation through hydrogen, as well as super computation for the production of wind generators and solar panels.

The DAAD is a scientific promoter between Germany and Mexico, whose budget comes from different ministries of the European Union, transnational corporations, as well as governments and foreign organizations.
