Government alert for fraud in car sales

The Government of the Republic warned that through the website “Ates-liconsa.com” an alleged sale of government cars is carried out to deceive and defraud the population.

Ana Elizabeth García Vilchis, director of Networks of the General Coordination of Social Communication of the Presidency, indicated that although social networks have their positive side, misinformation and false pages also abound.

He emphasized that the pages of the federal government have the domain .gob.mx

“Social networks are a useful tool to keep us informed, but they have their B side because disinformation abounds there too, which is why this space warns of fraud through false, apocryphal Internet pages that try to deceive the population,” he said.

“The example that we want to denounce is the domain Ates-liconsa.com that on behalf of the Mexican government offers luxury cars for sale, it is false, do not be fooled, the federal public administration does not offer that service nor does it offer you come to through Internet pages or social networks, it is a scam. We also point out that all the pages of the Mexican government end with the .gob.mx domain and are absolutely safe”, he added.
