Dollar Continues to Rise, Closing at 18.49

MEXICO CITY — On the final day of the exchange week, Mexico City banks sold the dollar at 18.49 pesos, 26 centavos higher than at yesterday’s close, and it was bought at a minimum of 17.67 pesos.

The euro gained 17 centavos since the end of the Thursday’s session and sold at a maximum price of 20.86 pesos. The yen rose to 0.18 pesos.

The exchange rate for liquidating liabilities in foreign currency payable in Mexico is 18.15 pesos, the Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) reported.
