The dollar closed at 21.16 pesos at Mexico City currency exchanges on Thursday, a 19-centavo rise from Wednesday. Banks purchased the dollar for a minimum of 19.97 pesos.
The euro rose 32 centavos to close at 26.51 pesos, while the pound and yen closed at 26.51 pesos and 0.211 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 20.7488 pesos per dollar.
