The euro rose 13 centavos to close at 21.94 pesos, while the pound and yen closed at 26.10 pesos and 0.202 pesos, respectively.

Wednesday’s currency trading was affected by a decision by the United States Federal Reserve to raise interest rates by a quarter of a percent, from 0.5 percent to 0.75 percent.
