On Tuesday, the dollar rose to a maximum selling price of 19.61 pesos in Mexico City currency exchanges. Banks purchased the dollar for a minimum of 18.43 pesos.
The euro gained 46 centavos to close at 21.64 pesos, while the pound and yen closed at 23.92 pesos and 0.214 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 19.1306 pesos per dollar.
Banks will not open on Wednesday, Nov. 2 in observance of Day of the Dead, according to the Association of Banks of Mexico.
