The dollar closed at 18.85 pesos at Mexico City banks Monday, four centavos less than at market close on Friday. Banks sold the dollar for 18.05 pesos.
The euro was sold for 20.98 pesos, a five-centavo decline compared to Friday, and the pound and yen were sold for 25.03 pesos and 0.197 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’sCentral Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 18.5581 pesos per dollar.
