The dollar closed at a selling price of 19.84 pesos at Mexico City currency exchanges Tuesday, a 34-centavo decline from its closing price on Monday. Banks purchased the dollar for a minimum of 18.66 pesos.
The euro lost 59 centavos to close at 22.21 pesos, while the pound and yen closed at 25.70 pesos and 0.277 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 19.5044 pesos per dollar.
