The dollar gained 23 centavos to close at 18.93 pesos Thursday at Mexico City banks. The dollar was purchased for 18.09 pesos.
The euro closed at 21.23 pesos, a 27-centavo increase from Wednesday, while the pound and yen closed at 25.09 pesos and 0.199 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 18.5727 pesos per dollar.
