The dollar closed at selling price of 19.74 pesos at Mexico City currency markets Monday, eight centavos less than on Friday. Banks purchased the dollar for a minimum of 18.55 pesos.
The euro lost 11 centavos to close at 22.09 pesos, while the pound and yen closed at 25.26 pesos and 0.142 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 19.3211 pesos per dollar.
