The dollar dropped three centavos to close at a maximum selling price of 19.71 pesos at Mexico City currency exchanges Tuesday. Banks purchased the dollar for a minimum of 18.52 pesos.
The euro closed at 22.03 pesos, a six-centavo decline from the day before, while the pound and yen closed at 25.00 pesos and 0.218 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 19.2138 pesos per dollar.
