The dollar closed at a selling price of 19.34 pesos in Mexico City currency exchanges Wednesday, a five-centavo decline from the day before. Banks purchased the dollar for 18.15 pesos.
The euro closed at 21.27, pesos, a 12-centavo decline from Tuesday, while the pound and yen closed at 23.51 pesos and 0.210 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 18.9622 pesos per dollar.
