Mexico City banks sold the dollar at 19.08 pesos at market close Friday, a 12-centavo decline from the day before. Dollars were bought for 18.25 pesos.
The euro declined 24 centavos to be sold at 21.09 pesos, while the pound and yen were sold at 24.87 pesos and 0.202 pesos, respectively.
The official exchange rate, set by Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico), is 18.8691 pesos per dollar.
