Mexico City banks were selling the dollar for 18.30 pesos at market close Tuesday, 10 centavos less than the day before. Banks purchased dollars for 17.51 pesos.
The euro was sold for 20.61, three centavos more than on Monday, while the pound and yen were sold at 23.82 pesos and 0.197 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s Central Bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 17.9869 pesos per dollar.
