Mexico City banks sold the dollar for 18.75 at market close Tuesday, 10 centavos less than the day before, and bought dollars for 17.95 pesos.
The euro was sold for 20.77 pesos, an eight-peso decline from the day before, while the pound and yen were sold at 24.30 pesos and 0.199 pesos, respectively.
Mexico’s central bank (Banxico) set the official exchange rate at 18.3842 pesos per dollar.
