The dollar fell nine centavos on the opening day of the week, closing at a selling price of 19.04 pesos at Mexico City currency exchanges. The dollar was purchased by banks for a minimum of 17.50 pesos.
The Bank of Mexico (Banxico) set the exchange rate at 18.6700 pesos per dollar.
