Over 200 musicians performed at the festival

The Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM), along with the Culture Promotion Secretariat, hosted its second jazz festival which took place in the Morelos Theater in Toluca. This edition, unlike the first one held in January, featured only student musicians.

The performances of Manuel Clavijo, Carmen Fuerte (one of the top ten jazz musicians in Mexico) y Jazzociados, René Thompson, and Laberinto del Caos, among others, gave testimony to both professionalism and quality standards held by the institution.

Alejandro Flores Solís, director of the Artistic Promotion Department of UAEM, noted that this festival will be followed by the presentation of the Jazz Atlas in early November.

The aim of this festival, according to Flores Solís, is to make jazz music available to people of all ages.
