UAEM Helps Tepetlaoxtoc to Become Pueblo Mágico

Municipality leaders said that they will begin to work on planning projects to attract tourism

The Autonomous University of the State of Mexico’s (UAEM) Texcoco campus will work on various projects aimed at helping the municipality of Tepetlaoxtoc obtain the recognition, “Pueblo Mágico” (Magical Village), as well as projects that favor the development of its population.

During the meeting led by UAEM Texcoco Director Ricardo Colín García, Tepetlaoxtoc Mayor Rolando Trujano Sánchez, explained that this recognition will lead to greater opportunities for growth and development.

Trujano Sánchez stressed that UAEM is an institution with a clear social responsibility and high academic prestige.

Municipality leaders said that they will begin to work on planning projects to attract tourism to make Tepetlaoxtoc central to the region, but also to work towards receiving the Pueblo Mágico recognition.

He added that UAEM Texcoco can also generate projects in other departments, benefiting the population of this municipality, while thanking the support that the municipal authorities have provided the center.
