Starting Monday, Doctor María de Lourdes Morales Reynoso will assume the position of head of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM) Cultural Promotion Department.

Morales Reynoso has a doctorate in law from UAEM. She is also a member of the National Researchers System (SNI) and is a full-time UAEM law professor.

Morales Reynoso wrote “Conscientious Objection as a Fundamental Right,” coauthored “Genesis and the Perspective of Constitutional Power in Mexico” and a study on the federal constitution in Mexico in 1857. She has also coordinated the publication of “The Theoretical Revision of Abandonment: A Multidisciplinary Outlook” and “The Humanist University.”

The law professor will succeed Ivett Tinoco García, former Cultural Promotion Secretary, who left her post due to academic reasons.
